I Knew Who I Was ( 2016 )
The series of painting and collage, IN A MERGE, was exhibited in a group exhibition " I knew who I was " at the Free Space Galley. The Free Space Gallery is an arts and health programme based within the Kentish Town Health Centre, an NHS centre serving over 22,000 patients. The show brought together 33 artists from Wimbledon College of Art.
The name of the exhibition " I knew who I was " comes from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. It forms part of a longer sentence
‘I know who I was when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.’
The artists felt that it was appropriate to their studies; their Masters is a time to take risks, to experiment with their practice and perhaps to change several times. It is also something that rings true with feelings that patients can experience when visiting such a centre.
