SELFSCAPE (2014)

is a collection of six self-portraits, which I intentionally allowed each layer of images formed the outcome. It consists time and collections of experience that bring about a present appearance. The outcome is simultaneously serendipitous and intentional.

The process began with ten quick perceptual drawings of myself in front of a mirror. The ten drawings were photocopied onto a piece of paper. It created a merged image, representing layers of perception. Then the last perceptual drawing was drawn on top of this merged image. The same process was repeated, creating the series.

The closest"I" is myself. I began the conversation to my topic with a collection of self-portraits.

Size: 29 x 21 cm.
