BM Zoetrope Making Workshop (2014)

 

Zoetrope making workshop, organized by Julia Norris is a part of a night event, BM/PM German folk tales at the British Museum. The festivities event with workshops and interactive displays inspired by German popularized tales by the Brothers Grimm, and led by students form the University of the Arts London.

 

I took part in the team to help setting up and demonstrate zoetrope making. People who participated the activity are diverse in background, culture, and age. The programme is a good platform to develop teaching, communication, and teamwork skills. In addition, it helps bringing an awareness of how art can be a bridge for people of differing backgrounds. I appreciate when art plays its role for the general public.
